Pesto Sauce

Pesto is an amazing way to make Pasta dishes and snacks perfect.

Ingredients
    INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup Pine Nuts
  • 2 cup Basil Leaves
  • 2 Clove Garlic ((Peeled & Crushed))
  • 1/4 cup Freshly Grated Parmeson Cheese
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil
  • Black Pepper ((For Taste))
Instructions
    METHOD:
  1. 1. Add Pine Nuts to a heavy based pan and stir over a low heat for 2 - 3 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. 2. Place Pine Nuts, Garlic, Basil Leaves and salt in a blender OR food processor and process for 10 seconds, scrape down sides of the bowl.
  3. 3. Add Parmeson Cheese and process for 10 seconds, with motor running slowly add your oil until a paste is formed.
  4. 4. Add pepper for taste.

TIPS: PESTO SAUCE CAN BE MADE UP TO A WEEK IN ADVANCE AND STORED IN A AIRTIGHT CONTAINER IN THE FRIDGE.
