METHOD FOR CAKE:
- 1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease and flour two 9-inch (22.5cm) round baking pans.
- 2. combine Flour, Brown Sugar, Baking Powder, Salt and Baking Soda, set aside.
- 3. Beat Granulated Sugar and Butter in a large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add Eggs one by one and beat after every egg is added.
- 4. Beat in Milk and Vanilla Essence. Add Flour mixture and Chopped Chocolate Chips and beat well. Pour mixture into both prepared pans.
- 5. Bake for 40 - 45 minutes or until cake tester or wooden skewer inserted into center comes out clean. Remove from pans onto wire rack and let cool.
- 6. Prepare Butterscotch Filling. Spread 1 cake layer with Butterscotch Filling and sprinkle with 1/4 cup walnuts. Place second cake on top.
- 7. Combine Chocolate Chips, Butter and Corn Syrup in small saucepan. Stir over low heat until Chocolate melts.
- 8. Pour over top of cake allowing some to drip down the sides of the cake. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup Walnuts over as garnish. METHOD FOR BUTTERSCOTCH FILLING
- 1. Combine Butter, Cornstarch (Maizina) and Salt in a saucepan. Add water and bring to boil while stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute stirring constantly and stir in butter and let cool
