Vegan Cheddar Biscuits

This must be the best Vegan Biscuits I’ve ever made and tasted.

    METHOD:
  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • 2. In a bowl mix together the Vegan Milk and Apple Cider Vinegar. Set aside for 5 minutes (this makes Vegan Buttermilk.)
  • 3. In a large bowl mix together the Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, Garlic Powder and Salt.
  • 4. Mix the melted Butter into the Buttermilk. Then pour this mixture into the Flour mixture. Mix until just incorporated (without overmixing - some flour clumps are fine and will make for fluffy biscuits.)
  • 5. Gently fold in the Grated Cheddar Cheese.
  • 6. Scoop the batter into the baking sheet using a ¼ cup measuring scoop. Leave about 5cm of space between each scoop.
  • 7. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  • 8. In the meantime mix together the melted Butter, Parsley and Garlic Powder. Brush on the top of the biscuits when they are done baking.
